Ballantine 5in wide hardfaced Duck Bill pilot bit drilled for the Vermeer 7-hole housing pattern. Economical bit for soft and sandy ground. The broad square nose gives the best steering, and hardfacing protects it in abrasive soil. Ballantine rates it Best for sandy and light ground and Good for medium ground. 3/4in thick bit.
